Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS KRATOM?

Kratom is the common name for the mitragyna speciosa, a tree that originates in Southeast Asia that is in the same family as the coffee plant, the rubiaceae family.

In Thailand the leaves of this tree have been used for many centuries for their medicinal and psychoactive qualities. Kratom contains a number of active components, alkaloids, of which mitragynine is attributed most of kratom's psychoactive properties. Mitragynine is an opioid agonist, meaning that it has an affinity for the opioid receptors in the brain, and as such, is used the world over to alleviate pain as well as to ease the withdrawal symptoms from strong opiates

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF KRATOM?

The effects of kratom have been described as similar to opiate-based drugs, but milder. The effects are stimulant and euphoric with a small dose, becoming calming and narcotic at higher doses. The effects come on after 10 to 20 minutes and can last several hours.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIFFERENT TYPES OF KRATOM?

There are several different types of kratom on the market: leaves, powder and extract. Dried leaves are the most common form of kratom. Kratom powder usually consists of powdered leaves and is a bit stronger. Extract is a sticky substance that is left after lengthy boiling and straining of leaves and is stronger than plain leaves.

The quality of the leaves is the most important factor in determining the potency of kratom. On the internet you will find what are deemed as 'commercial leaves.' This grade of leaf is suitable for making extracts. You will also find selected, high quality leaves or powder. These are usually more expensive, however, the increase in price usually means an increase in potency.

IS KRATOM LEGAL?

Kratom is completely legal in most European countries and states in the USA. Unfortunately, we are currently not allowed to ship kratom to customers in Tennessee, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Vermont due to legal restrictions on its sale and use.

IS KRATOM ADDICTIVE?

Although a small number of people have become dependent on kratom (primarily in Thailand), kratom is not habit forming when used responsibly. If used occasionally as a psychoactive plant, rather than daily, there is virtually no risk of becoming dependent on it. WHY CAN'T I PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD ON THE 'CHECKOUT' SCREEN?

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but banking regulations and policies prevent most major credit card processing companies from handling transactions involving health products that have not been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
